US: Free cannabis given out at farmer's market

Fox News Phoenix

Monday 17 Sep 2012

A sunset farmer's market gained a lot of attention in downtown Phoenix Sunday at the Firehouse Gallery near 1st Street and Roosevelt.

The Cannabis Farmer's Market, held by Camp 420 and MedicalFarmersMarket.com, ran until 10 p.m., but if you got there early, there was no entry free.

A current Arizona state-issued medical marijuana card was required for entry.

The event included live music, speakers, announcements, food and free, locally grown cannabis.

"We're having a sunset farmer's market, we have cultivators from across the valley with extra products to share with medical marijuana patients," said Rain Baker, a registered nurse and an organizer for the event. "It's a patient and caregiver only event."

Many sample products were available for those who attended the farmer's market.
