Scotland: Police seize £750k worth of cannabis in raid on Glasgow industrial estate

TWO men were arrested in the operation, in which officers found around 1500 plants.

POLICE have seized cannabis plants worth £750,000 in a raid on an industrial estate.

Officers found around 1500 plants in the raid on a building at Balmore Industrial Estate, Milton, Glasgow, at 11am on Wednesday.

Two men aged 23 and 42 were arrested in the operation.

Detective Sergeant Craig Semple of Strathclyde Police said the raid was the latest in a string of successful drug swoops.

He added: "This is yet another significant recovery and illustrates once again our determination to rid our communities of drugs.

"Through effective intelligence-gathering, we continue to deal with this issue head-on. Our actions no doubt cause considerable disruption to those involved in drugs."
