UK: Housing association loses case to immediately repossess house of man who transformed his bedroom into a cannabis farm Gemma Jaleel, Liverpool Echo Wednesday 26 Sep 2012 Terence Sweeney, 52, of Prince William Street, Toxteth, was released on licence from prison after serving less than six months of a 16-month sentence for the production of cannabis and possession of Class A drugs including cocaine and heroin. He told police he allowed the set-up in his home after being beaten up and threatened by a gang he owed money to for his drug habit. Liverpool Mutual Homes brought a case against him to repossess the property at the County Court yesterday on the grounds that he had broken his tenancy agreement. Deputy District Judge Hayes granted a possession order suspended for three years on the condition Mr Sweeney continues to pay off his rent arrears, complies with his tenancy agreement and allows unannounced inspections over 12 months. Chief Executive at LMH, Steve Coffey, said: "We are very disappointed with the verdict." http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2012/09/26/housing-association-loses-case-to-immediately-repossess-house-of-man-who-transformed-his-bedroom-into-a-cannabis-farm-100252-31906967/
