Malta: Italian jailed for eight years for cannabis trafficking
Malta Independent On-Line Thursday 27 Sep 2012 Two Maltese were involved with him, one of them has already been sentenced, the other is to stand trial. The accused had pleaded guilty to associating with others in trafficking the drug in the five months to May, 2003. Mr Porsenna was the brains behind the operation, with one of the Maltese being instrumental in selling the drug on the road. Defence lawyers Joseph Giglio and Stephen Tonna Lowell argued the accused should not be handed a sentence longer than four years in jail.
