TACOMA—

The state's liquor control board seized cases of Cannabis Enriched Honey Beer from a medical marijuana outlet in Tacoma after the shop sold the beer to a minor during a sting operation, the Tacoma News Tribune reported.

According to the Tribune, the Hashford Compassion Club at 11220 Pacific Ave. S. sold the cannabis enriched alcohol to a minor Friday.

The liquor control board organized a sting operation with the help of the Pierce County Sheriff's Department after receiving a complaint that the medical marijuana co-op was selling the beer to underage kids.

During the sting, the minor was able to buy three bottles of the cannabis enriched beer.

According to their website, the Compassion Club is a medical marijuana dispensary co-op that guarantees "safe and secure access to medical cannabis." Liquor board officials are only pursuing liquor sales violations, the Tribune reported.
