UK: KING’S LYNN: Drugs case sent to crown (For £2 worth of cannabis)
Lynn News Sunday 11 Nov 2012 Jack Greenacre, of De Grey Road, Lynn, was sent to Norwich Crown Court for sentence when he appeared at the magistrates court on Tuesday. The 22-year-old admitted possessing the class B drug after a drugs warrant was carried out by police on his girlfriends home address in Hockham Street, Lynn, on August 15. The offence also put him in breach of a suspended prison sentence imposed by the crown court for an offence of assault in June. Prosecuting, Yvonne Neill said: “The defendant was originally issued with a fixed penalty notice for the drugs, but because of his previous convictions he was charged.” The bench said: “This was a small amount of cannabis, but your record really concerns us so we’re sending the case to crown court for sentence.” Greenacre was released on unconditional bail until a date to be fixed. http://www.lynnnews.co.uk/news/crime-and-courts/king-s-lynn-drugs-case-sent-to-crown-1-4458201
