UK: 100 cannabis deals found at flat

ONE hundred separate deals of cannabis were found when police raided a Buxton man’s flat, a court heard.

Officers carried out a drugs search at the Bath Road flat of Kyle Ryan David Waring on September 22, High Peak Magistrates Court heard.

During the search, 100 separate deals of cannabis with a total value of £995 were found, as well as a variety of other amounts of cannabis. The total value of all the drugs found at the property was around £1,300, prosecutor Jennifer Fitzgerald said.

In interview, Waring said he would sell around 30 of the deals for £10 a bag and smoke the rest of the drug himself.

Waring, 18, admitted possession with intent to supply.

James Riley, defending, said: “He is a young man who has been through some significant difficulties in his home life and has developed a significant cannabis habit.”

Waring will be sentenced at Derby Crown Court on December 28.
