Tommy Chong, Cancer-Free: 'Cheech and Chong' Star Claims Cannabis Helped Cure Serious Illness, Legalizing Marijuana Will Help USA Jon Niles MStars News Thursday 16 May 2013 Last week Tommy Chong wrote a blog post on CelebStoner, in which he declared, "I kicked cancer's ass! So the magic plant does cure cancer with the right diet and supplements." "I also treated the condition with hemp oil (hash oil). With the diet, the supplements and the hash oil, plus a session with a world-renowned healer, Adam Dreamhealer, I'm cancer-free," he explained. After his cancer diagnosis, Chong decided against traditional forms of treatment. According to researchers of a recent study, the cancer cells in prostate cancer contained two types of "cannabinoid receptors that, when stimulated, were able to compromise the cell's viability." Despite the fact that there is extensive research being conducted on the subject, neither of the U.S. Federal Drug Administrationor Centers for Disease Control and Prevention accepts cannabis as a treatment of any cancer-related disease. Tommy Chong also feels that the legalization of marijuana would solve many of our nation's financial problems. "Look at the situation we're in now. Sequesters. Cuts. Everything cut across the board. Now, the government is tapped into the biggest cash crop in the world," Chong said. "There's little manufacturing cost. You don't have to do anything except watch it grow and get a couple of hippies to cut it and then put it in a bag." "Hemp itself is going to save the world," Chong added. His comedy partner, 66-year-old Richard "Cheech" Marin, fells that the legalization of marijuana will come in the next couple of years. "The tipping point is 24 states to legalize medical marijuana, so it's coming soon," Marin said. http://www.mstarz.com/articles/12927/20130516/tommy-chong-cancer-free-cheech-star-claims-cannabis-helped-cure.htm
