A SCIENCE teacher has been banned from class for five years for growing and using cannabis at home.

Alan Taylor, of Atherton, Lancs, said weed had helped him create better lessons, adding that Britain's drug policy was "immoral" and "corrupt".

But a panel at Westleigh High School in Wigan chose to discipline the 43-year-old for his use of the drug.
