UK: Banned for a year for driving under the influence of cannabis

A 19 year old local driver who couldn't answer basic questions when stopped by police, was found to be under the influence of Cannabis.

Appearing before the local court last Thursday was Jason Stephen Cochrane from Gransha Road, Dromore.

Cochrane was banned from driving for a year and fined £200.

Barrister Mr Justin Byrne said the loss of his client's licence would cause him severe hardship.

He said his client worked for a printing company and was very well though of.

Mr Byrne stressed Cochrane was not an habitual user.
