US: 3-year-old being given cannabis oil to treat cancer Lauren Hansard KOB4 Friday 25 Oct 2013 KOB Eyewitness News 4 spoke with the mother in Hobbs, where she’s from. Sierra Riddle is the mother of 3-year-old Landon. He was diagnosed with leukemia last year. After months of grueling chemotherapy, Landon’s mother took him off, and put him on medical marijuana in the form of pills. She said it’s working. Landon’s doctor doesn’t agree. Sierra said the doctor recommends Landon stay on chemo for three more years, but she said the chemo is hurting her son. “The chemo and steroids have shown that they're causing Landon so much damage. He gets violent with me, he hits me, he put a knife to my throat at two years old. A butter knife but still," said Riddle. Sierra said if she doesn’t follow the doctor’s orders for her son, the doctors will take her to court. Where a judge will either court order her to comply with the medication or take her son away. “I’m driving him to the poison clinic, I’m driving him to the doctors for them to put all this toxic poison into his body," said Riddle. Sierra said she’s not going to give in without a fight. “My child is an individual and he deserves individualized cancer treatments and that's all we're fighting for," said Riddle. Family and friends in Hobbs have put on a 5K Zombie Walk for Landon to raise money. The event is Saturday at the Lea County Event Center. http://www.kob.com/article/stories/S3200885.shtml#.UmzTH1PddR0
