Second person attempts to use Facebook to sell drugs SARAH CRAWFORD The Telegraph Australia Friday 22 Nov 2013 The Facebook user has advertised "grade A medical cannabis kush" for sale on a group page called "Darwin defence buy swap & sell (or just give it away)". The Facebooker broadcasted a shopping list of cannabis products over the group Facebook page with names such as "White Widow", "Super Skunk" and "AK47 Kush." "Very good prices and discrete (sic) selling. Inbox me now in (sic) interested." The seller also helpfully posted two photographs of the cannabis. Detective Superintendent Peter Schiller said it was unusual to see someone selling cannabis on Facebook. "I think there is a village out there missing its idiot," he said. Supt Schiller said the brand names suggested the seller was offering synthetic as well as real cannabis. "Synthetic cannabis is a dangerous drug the same as normal cannabis," he said. "There is no regulation as to what goes into synthetic cannabis. People won't know what they are ingesting." Supt Schiller said police were investigating. The Facebook page is believed to not be associated with the Australian Defence Force. The ADF did not respond to NT News' questions. In July, Alice Springs police were alerted to another alleged drug dealer when he posted photos of cannabis and drug equipment on his Facebook page. The evidence included: PHOTO of 31 cannabis deal bags with a street price of $775 or $1550 in remote communities. PHOTO of a baby boy covered in $100 bills. HIS defence - police had given him a $3900 fine he had to pay and he wanted "likes". http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/second-person-attempts-to-use-facebook-to-sell-drugs/story-fnk1w5xx-1226766172253
