Decriminalising cannabis isn't a major priority for the Green Party.

The position comes as Labour leader David Cunliffe's said such a law change isn't his Party's policy.

Green Party Co-leader Metiria Turei's signalling the proposal's not at the top of her Party's "to do" list.

"It won't be one of our major priorities, but it is our policy and we're not ashamed of that."
