420 Celebration Today: The holiday of the global cannabis culture

4/20 Celebration, is famous for the official holiday of the global cannabis culture. This day is famous worldwide because on this day, giant clouds of marijuana smoke fills up the rallies in cities across the planet. The event takes place at several locations around the globe, the list of locations with the particular address are available on the web and people can choose anyone of them to enjoy this day.

Talking about the reason why this started, back in 1970s a group of high-school students from San Rafael California, who were also known as “Waldos,” for their hangout smoking spot, a wall which was present outside their school premises, started using this time for smoking marijuana, slowly this time became their code word and soon after it became a common word in 1990’s, a group of marijuana activists at that time got an idea that instead of using 4:20 code word for smoking marijuana twice a day, this term if used as “4/20” instead if 4:20, can be used to smoke marijuana for the whole day.

According to reports, the 20th April marijuana rally was born at Victory Square Park in Vancouver. Since last 20 years, this concept of smoking marijuana has been adopted by different people, especially by cannabis activists around the world. Cities which are famous for this day, its celebrations and for hosting rallies having thousands of people, who come there to smoke marijuana and celebrate the plant they love and smoke includes Vancouver and Denver.
