Australian Labour to legalise cannabis?

Medicinal cannabis will be legalised in Victoria if Australian Labor wins the November state election.

People with terminal or life-threatening conditions will be able to access the drug in liquid or tablet form, but smoking marijuana for medicinal purposes won't be decriminalised.

Opposition Leader Daniel Andrews says the drug will be made available to treat people in exceptional circumstances to improve quality of life and provide pain relief.
