Hawaii: Cannabis Minister Rev Roger Christie to Be Released to Halfway House

Hawaii Daily News

Wednesday 10 Sep 2014

Hawaii News Daily has learned that Rev Roger Christie, formerly of The Hawaii Cannabis (THC) Ministry, will be released from federal custody to a halfway house on Oahu.

Christie has been at the Federal Detention Center in Honolulu since his arrest by Federal authorities on July 8, 2010. He was never granted bail.

Late in 2013, Christie and his wife Share Christie accepted a plea deal on federal charges of marijuana trafficking. Earlier this year, Federal Judge Leslie Kobayashi sentenced Christie to the federal minimum of 60 months, plus four years of supervised release.

Share Christie was sentenced to 27 months and 3 years of supervised release. She is free pending appeal.
