Two-day conference on the industry of cannabis

A two-day gathering of the top entrepreneurs in the marijuana industry got underway Saturday in Portland.

Beyond the entrepreneurs, the International Cannabis Business Conference at the Oregon Convention Center features Rep. Earl Blumenauer and Mayor Robert Jacobs of Sepastopol, California.

Blumenauer, who on Friday debated Clatsop County District Attorney Josh Marquis over legalizing marijuana, was scheduled to discuss how he sees the federal government moving forward on pot laws.

Internationally known blogger Andrew Sullivan was one of the keynote speakers, along with cannabis industy leader Steve DeAngelo.
