French Newspaper Announces Support For Cannabis Legalization Lisa Rough Leafly Saturday 20 Dec 2014 France has one of the highest rates of cannabis use in Europe (along with canna-friendly Denmark), with more than 13.4 million French residents admitting to trying cannabis at least once. Between the ages of 15 and 34, an estimated 43% of the French population use cannabis on a regular or semi-regular basis. This announcement comes right on the heels of a recent cannabis development in France – the ministry of health recently approved Sativex, a cannabis-based mouth spray containing THC and CBD. It will be strictly controlled and is mainly used to prevent spasticity in patients with multiple sclerosis. This new development is tres chic, tres belle, et tres magnifique! http://www.leafly.com/news/headlines/french-newspaper-announces-support-for-cannabis-legalization#/prclt-uT5mIh1S
