Marijuana is one of the most sought after drugs of today’s time. Not only does it have importance from the medical perspective, but also from leisure perspective. Even after this much importance, USA has not yet accepted marijuana completely. One state that approved marijuana before any else was Colorado, where no one has to pay any fine, if he uses the allowed quantity of marijuana.

Due to legal status of marijuana, people from other states also come here and use the drug for medical and non-medical purposes. A few states have objection with it. In this regard, Gary Herbert, Governor of Utah says that Utah doesn’t want to sue Colorado over marijuana legalization is just like couple of other states.

Utah Continue Keeping a Close Eye on Neighbors:

Even though Utah doesn’t want to sue Colorado, but it wants to keep information about neighboring states. It continues to keep a close eye on all the nearby states in regard with marijuana legalization issue.

States That Have Sued Colorado:

There are quite a few states, which have problems with Colorado’s legalization of marijuana. In the previous month, two states Oklahoma and Nebraska filed a lawsuit against Colorado asking the court to declare that Colorado’s decision to legalize marijuana is unconstitutional. They state that Colorado has made marijuana legal, due to which people of their states have also started using marijuana illegally. Both the states claim that enforcing anti-drug laws on people have become very difficult due to Colorado’s initiative.

Utah officials have clarified that they don’t want to make marijuana legal in the near future, but they have a limited medical marijuana law in place already. According to this law, people with severe epilepsy to use cannabis extract oil. They don’t want to make things difficult for Colorado; hence, they don’t want to file any case or lawsuit against Colorado and its initiative of making marijuana legal.
