US: Bill to decriminalize cannabis oil in Tennessee introduced

WRCBtv

Friday 30 Jan 2015

An East Tennessee lawmaker has introduced a bill that would decriminalize the use of cannabis oil for medical use.

State Representative Jeremy Faison (R-Cosby) officially introduced the bill Thursday. The proposed legislation would decriminalize the possession of cannabis oil in the state for treating children who suffer from intractable, life-threatening seizures.

Rep. Faison said in a release he believes the bill will help families with children who suffer from seizures, and that it could make a real difference.

"Cannabis oil has shown evidence to help children who suffer with seizures, said Faison, "and I strongly believe that if the legislature joins me in passing this bill, it will be one of those times that government does get it right."
