UK: ‘Let Scots cities open Dutch-style cannabis cafes’ Jason Allardyce Sunday Times Sunday 01 Mar 2015 Professor David Nutt, who was fired by the British government in 2009 for declaring horse-riding to be more dangerous than taking ecstasy, also called for the legalisation of cannabis for medical use and for people to be allowed to possess 5g of the drug. Nutt, who is based at Imperial College London, is to set out his case for a more liberal and evidence-based approach to drugs in Scotland during a talk at the Edinburgh International Science Festival in April.
