US: New Georgia law allows possession of cannabis oil Sam Stecklow, Atlanta Sun Times Wednesday 15 Apr 2015 While the law allows people to possess the cannabis oil, it does not legalize the production of it, meaning people are likely to have to leave the state to get the cannabis oil. The law applies to qualified patients who are registered with the state. “It is not broad enough,” Peachtree NORML Executive Director Sharon Ravert said. “It is not tight enough and I believe that patients and caregivers are going to be arrested and that is not what these people need.” Georgia State Rep. Allen Peake (R-Macon) told WJBF that a “commission will form to come up with a way to have cannabis oil made in Georgia.” http://atlanta.suntimes.com/atl-politics-government/7/78/122501/new-georgia-law-allows-possession-cannabis-oil
