Bedrocan and Tweed team up with Canadian cannabis clinic Josh Allsopp Proactive Investors Wednesday 27 Apr 2016 Thousands of Canadians are federally licensed to possess and use medical marijuana. Tweed Inc and Bedrocan Canada have teamed up with the Cannabis Health Clinic (CHC) in Regina, Saskatchewan to legally provide Canadian clients with its medical marijuana products. With the help of the clinic, they have welcomed hundreds of new patients to the Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations system who were previously accessing medical cannabis through a dispensary. The clinic decided to shift its business model to a health clinic that will allow people to access marijuana products from high quality medical cannabis producers. "I started out as a patient and found cannabis to be an effective treatment and then it evolved to a point where I was filling a larger need in the community,” said Sean Murray, who is now president of the clinic. Tweed and Bedrocan started registering CHC customers in February and will continue to work with additional clients moving forward. “Now with Tweed and Bedrocan I can help bridge the gap that exists between patients and producers,” added Murray. Tweed also operates community engagement centres in Ontario with dozens of certified organisations to provide education for the legal use of medical cannabis. "We're encouraged by the fact that as access and product diversity improves, interest in Tweed is coming from all corners of the industry," said Mark Zekulin, president of Tweed. http://www.proactiveinvestors.com/companies/news/125317/bedrocan-and-tweed-team-up-with-canadian-cannabis-clinic-125317.html
