JOHOR BARU: A general contractor has been ordered to be sent to the gallows after he was found guilty by the High Court here for drug trafficking three years ago. Dickson Levy Maria George appeared calm when Judge Datuk Dr Sabirin Ja'afar read out the sentence at the High Court . In his judgment, Sabirin said the defence failed to raise any reasonable doubt against the prosecution's case. Dickson, 29, was accused of trafficking 14.49 kilogrammes of cannabis at the Larkin Bus Terminal at about 7.45 pm on May 9, 2013. He was charged under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction. Dickson was represented by counsel Mohd Daud Ismail while Deputy Public Prosecutor Nor Iffa Darilla Abd Rahman appeared for the prosecution.
