US: Medical Cannabis Act Proposal Fails

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Arkansas Supreme Court has taken Issue 7 off of the ballot for November.

Issue 7, also known as the Arkansas Medical Cannabis Act, was one of two medical marijuana initiatives on the November ballot. Issue 6 is the second medical marijuana proposal.

The AR Supreme Court ruled that 12,104 signatures were disallowed, leaving only 65,412 valid signatures. That is 2,465 less than required to constitutional requirements, according to the AR Supreme Court.
