US: Fairbanks Cannabis Stores Run Dry As Demand Exceeds Supply

All three Cannabis shops in Fairbanks had to temporarily close their doors over the last few months due to a shortage of marijuana.

A cultivator and retail cannabis shop, Pakalolo Supply Company, which first opened its doors October 31st, had to close temporarily due to the overwhelming demand during the holiday season, mixed with cultivators selling local cannabis to shops down South.

In December, Anchorage saw their first three stores open, some of which were supplied with Interior-grown marijuana.

Pakalolo grows its own product, but Co-Vice President, Keenan Hollister, says it's not enough to meet the demand.

He says it will take time for the cultivating industry to catch up and through the month of January, Pakalolo will have limited hours of operation.
