Licence for cannabis to be grown in Jersey issued

ITV

Monday 08 May 2017

Jersey's Health Minister has issued a licence for cannabis to be grown in the island.

The one-season trial will mean 'industrial hemp' will be grown, to see if it can be viably used for the commercial production of culinary oil and hemp fibre.

The farmer who applied for the licence isn't named, but more details are expected later this week.
