UK Wales: A cannabis oil coffee shop is opening in Swansea city centre Christie Bannon Wales Online Friday 03 Aug 2018 A new coffee shop offering shots of cannabis oil in its drinks will be opening in Swansea . Bogarts CBD Coffee House is opening in St Helen's Road in the city centre on Saturday, August 4. And visitors will be able to receive water-based shots of cannabis oil in their hot drinks. The man behind the new venture is Jeff Lang, the owner of what was previously the State of Art Tattoo Emporium which he has now transformed into the coffee shop. Mr Lang said: "I've had the tattoo studio on St Helen's Road for 10 years but since then about 15 studios have popped up around town so I thought I'd call it a day. "I've got the shop for another 10 years and I've always fancied opening a coffee shop so that's what I'm doing. "I used to run a bar and I've been taking CBD oil for a while myself and sold it in the tattoo studio." In recent months it has gained a lot of attention as many claim it combats various aches and pains, as well as helping those with anxiety and even eplilepsy. The coffee shop is believed to be the first of its kind in Wales and will join others in the UK, including one in Lancashire, and another in Liverpool which offers CBD in its shakes. "It's a supplement and it has health benefits. There are a lot of medical claims about it but people can come to their own conclusions. "We will also be selling pre-packed snacks such as muffins, crisps and flapjacks." As long as the extract is from industrial hemp it's perfectly legal - it's a food supplement.
