Scotland: Glasgow Green to host eighth annual cannabis gathering with 420 Hempstock Festival

Organisers have confirmed the return of the Hempstock Festival later this year.

Cannabis consumers are set to take to Glasgow Green once again this April for the annual 420 Hempstock Festival.

Organised by the Glasgow Cannabis Social Club, thousands are expected to celebrate the Class B drug at a peaceful gathering on Saturday, April 20.

This is the eight time the Glasgow branch will be hosting an event – alongside other similar festivities up and down the country.

Not too many details have been released yet, but the event Facebook page promises lots of live music, stalls, speakers and "good vibes".

The pro-cannabis festival was first held at Kelvingrove Park in 2012, on April 20 or ‘Weed Day', with another event running simultaneously in London, Durham, Leeds and Derry.

The Glasgow Green festival takes place from 10am - 9pm.
