UK: Families plead for medicinal cannabis the NHS refuses to prescribe

Doctors are refusing to prescribe medicinal cannabis four months after the Government changed the law to help save children's lives, the Sunday Telegraph can reveal.

Families desperate for cannabis oil with a crucial active ingredient are being denied access by the NHS, even where individual specialist doctors wish to prescribe it.

In one case, the mother of a seriously epileptic boy was wrongly told it was illegal for doctors to give her son the medicine she had asked for.
