Olivia Newton-John wants everyone to have access to medical cannabis amid breast cancer battle Sarah Deen The Metro Sunday 06 Oct 2019 ‘But I am strong and I am back and I’m feeling good and loving every minute.’ Olivia has fought breast cancer twice already – once in 1992, and again in 2013, which she did not go public with. The Grammy award winner has spoken about medical marijuana in the past, explaining how it gave her relief following radiation therapy for stage four breast cancer last year for a tumour at the base of her spine. Speaking to 60 Minutes, she said: ‘I’m so lucky that I’ve been through this three times and I’m still here. I’m living with it. ‘When you’re given a cancer diagnosis or a scary illness diagnosis, you are suddenly given a possibility of a time limit. ‘The truth is, you could get hit by a truck tomorrow, you don’t know so every day is a gift, particularly now. ‘If you believe the statistics, you’re going to make them happen. If somebody tells you, “you have six months to live”, very possibly you will – because you believe that.’ https://metro.co.uk/2019/10/06/olivia-newton-john-wants-everyone-access-medical-cannabis-amid-breast-cancer-battle-10872627/
