US: February cannabis sales in Illinois top 34 Million Dollars

Illinois cannabis sales topped $34 million in February.

This, on top of nearly $40 million worth of marijuana sales in January.

Tax totals have not been announced for the 29 days of February sales, but Illinois officials say any money from that will be reinvested in to communities "harmed most by the failed war on drugs."

Dispensaries across the state sold 831,600 items over the 29-day period. Sales to Illinois residents totaled $25,615,371 while sales to out-of-state residents totaled $9,189,701.01.
