UK Letter: Hertfordshire Chief Constable says his force will follow Parliament without debate

In this letter the Chief Constable of Hertfordshite tells us they are prepared to ignore Human Rights and Commmon law and do whatever the whim of Parliament and te=heir statutes

Thank you for your letter.

I am aware that this issue generates significant debate and that there are a range of strongly held views.

The issue of what the law says in this regard is properly a matter for Parliament and we police to
the laws and procedures that Parliament provides.

It is not for policing or individual officers to question the evidence basis upon which Parliament
has passed these matters into law and we will continue to police these in accordance with the
current legislation that Parliament provides.
