I have created this as a post that can be copy pasted into any police cannabis related post. Lee O'Doherty-Bushnell Lee O'Doherty-Bushnell Wednesday 07 Jun 2023 Another racist police raid, taking away the medicine of the ill and persecuting those who mimic our government, who are number 1 in the world, at growing, selling or using cannabis. While you proudly boast on facebook that you have dealt a heavy blow to crime with this raid I am here to tell the truth and nothing but the truth so help me god. 1: the laws surrounding cannabis were created with botched study’s paid for by higher society and the tycoons of the early 1920s so as to discriminate and persecute immigrants and free thinking non religious folk who all frequently used cannabis at the time and were considered vermin by the classist, racist, and religious ruling powers. It is important to note that society was, in general, classist, racist, and more religious at that time, and that as humanity progresses and groups of people who were once persecuted are given their rightful rights, the public’s right to cannabis should be no different. 2: The foundation evidence that was used to make cannabis illegal in the UK is no longer available or exists. If there is no evidence, there is no crime. 3: since the 1920s the government has taken the stance that cannabis is a dangerous drug with no medicinal value. In the past couple of decades that has changed, so much so that our British government is the biggest supplier of medical cannabis in the world and one of the leading researchers unlocking the medicinal value of the plant. So why is it that the British police still enforce archaic racist laws when the government acts and profits in direct conflict with the evidence it uses to keep cannabis illegal in the uk. 4: every time you post about another cannabis bust this is what the public sees: Today we harassed a citizen and used racist laws to steal their medicine. We don’t care how much suffering that causes to the ill because we are too busy boasting about bullying those who treat their conditions with cannabis on Facebook. We don’t actually know why these laws are in place but we will blindly enforce them anyway because it’s the law. We don’t care if taking this persons medicine away leads to their suicide because I’m meeting my targets. You only need to read the comments on your cannabis bust posts to see if We are wrong about public opinion shifting in favour of people viewing your busts the way We do. 5: the damage you cause enforcing the racist cannabis legislation that our government mandates is far larger than the damage these laws are supposedly meant to be protecting the public from. Aside from the £500,000,000 you spend a year on enforcing cannabis laws, enough to pay the NHS budget deficit or train and employ 6022 police officers per year, you tear apart families and steal medicine from those that need it. The damage to the children’s mental health when their parents are put in prison for growing a plant that the government also grows could lead to far more criminality than the consumption of cannabis itself ever could. The person who is suffering with chronic pain, depression and anxiety (roughly a quarter of our population suffers from one of these), who finds cannabis aids and treats them the same way a disabled person finds a wheelchair aids them, may be led to commit suicide when you take their medicine away. Would you steal a person's wheelchair? This is what you do. 6: while there are 5 million cannabis users in the uk there has never been a death caused by cannabis on its own. Alcohol ,however, kills on average 7000 people a year while costing the NHS £3.5 billion and the police force £1.6 billion every year. Alcohol is available at every shop in the country and is advertised on tv. Why is this allowed? Maybe it is something to do with the alcohol lobbyists that promote their poison over our health for profits. Maybe it is because the government isn't the leading supplier of alcohol, like they are cannabis, so they don't have profits to protect. Who knows? This is not an attack on the police in this country, it is a protest against the laws of the past that you are governed to enforce. We understand that you are doing your dangerous job to the best of your ability but in this case the laws that you uphold are not in line with the human rights act of which the police force should be paragons of. I think most employees on the police force would not want to enforce laws founded by racism. I think officers should be shown the truth in regards to the founding of cannabis laws in the uk before being mandated to enforce corruption, racism, classism and suppression of the public’s human rights. I can’t post the link here because facebook auto deletes links on police posts. But the evidence to back up my claims can be searched online and is called: counter evidence report for the claims used by the uk government to justify the continued inclusion of cannabis within MoDA 1971 and MDR 2001. A report compiled by seed our future and we the undersigned - March 2021 To support your rights to freely use cannabis in the uk search for the groups seed our future and we the undersigned online.
