UK: Police in record drug haul

Cannabis with a street value of about 250,000 was seized in police raids.
Drugs squad officers staged a series of raids at addresses in Bicester, a village near Bicester and a village in Gloucestershire.
A Thames Valley police spokesman said about thirteen blocks of the drug, weighing a total of between 40 and 50 kilos, were seized in the swoops.
Det Insp Brendan O'Dowda said: "It is the biggest amount of this drug ever recovered in the northern police area."
Five men aged between 24 and 50 were arrested and were due to be questioned today.
