UK: Downfall of Birmingham drug dealers who asked AI how to make strong cannabis Harry Leach Birmingham Live Monday 27 Jul 2026 Two drug dealers asked AI 'how to make strong cannabis' before they were arrested in Birmingham. Alexander Harrison, 36, and Aadil Jabbar, 31, were driving in a car with a strong cannabis smell coming from the inside when officers stopped the vehicle in the Southside area of the city in January. The pair, both from Birmingham, were searched and found in possession of the Class-B drug alongside more than £1,000 in cash. Further searches led to the discovery of around 160 wraps of cocaine and heroin. Detectives analysed their phones and discovered they had discussed West Midlands Police 'news articles' about drugs being seized in the city. They had also asked AI how to make a strong cannabis strain. Officers carried out a raid on an address linked to the pair where yet more cannabis and cash were seized. In February, Jabbar, of Whitehead Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin and possession with intent to supply cocaine. Harrison, of Dudley Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin at Birmingham Crown Court last Monday, July 20. The pair will be sentenced in September. DC Amelia Rose of West Midlands Police said: “We’re constantly alert to the signs of drug dealing - and we’re ready to take action. “In this case, stopping a vehicle led to the discovery of a large quantity of drugs and cash and evidence that linked these two to the supply of drugs.” Detective Inspector Tom Lyons added: “Drug crime brings harm to communities.
