33% Of Bosses Have Tried Cannabis
Belfast Telegraph
Wednesday 18 Oct 2000 '33% OF BOSSES' HAVE TRIED CANNABIS A third of Britain's company directors have tried cannabis, a survey revealed today. Following the controversy over members of the Conservative shadow cabinet admitting to having tried the drug, 250 financial directors were asked whether they had also tried it. A total of 33% said they had and 61% said they had not. The remaining 6% declined to answer. The survey in Accountancy Age magazine also found even some of financial directors believed the zero tolerance policy proposed by shadow home secretary Ann Widdecombe was unworkable. One boss said: "A quarter of the population would end up with criminal records. The courts and police would not be able to cope." Another said he had tried it "cannabis should be treated in the same way that alcohol is".
