UK: Female Pc charged with drug possession

Tuesday 28 Aug 2001 A woman police constable has been charged with possession of a drug and is due before magistrates later this week. Pc Rebecca Waldock, 27, who is based at Ely, Cambridegshire, is alleged to have been in possession of cannabis resin - a class B drug. Police said Waldock would appear in court at Bedford on Thursday after being charged today. She was arrested in June and charged after answering bail. Police said she would remain suspended from duty until the case had been completed.
