Drugs worth £800,000 seized at docks David Derbyshire Ananova Monday 11 Dec 2000 Customs officers have seized cannabis worth £866,000 hidden inside a container at Portsmouth Docks. Around 270kg of the drug was discovered packed between bottles of soft drinks which had arrived in Britain on a freight ship from Kingston, Jamaica. The haul, one of the biggest at the docks in recent years, was discovered during a routine inspection last Thursday. Customs and Excise spokeswoman Amanda Spencer said no arrests had yet been made and inquiries were continuing to track the smugglers down
