Bosses admit experimenting with cannabis

A third of Britain's top bosses have tried cannabis, a new survey has
suggested.

After the controversy over members of the Conservative shadow
frontbench admitting to having tried the illegal drug, 250 financial
directors were asked whether they had tried cannabis. A total of 33%
said they had, and 61% said they had not. The remaining 6% declined to
answer.

The survey in accountants' magazine Accountancy Age also found even
some of the financial directors polled who had not tried "the weed"
believed the zero tolerance policy proposed by shadow home secretary
Ann Widdecombe was unworkable.

One financial director commented: "A quarter of the population would
end up with criminal records. The courts and police would not be able
to cope."

Other comments from the survey included: "It's great, I recommend it."

Another said he had tried it, "just like 66% of the population -
cannabis should be treated in the same way that alcohol is".
