UK: Pupils arrested after sniffer dog finds cannabis at drug talk

---

Four boys have been arrested after a police sniffer dog reportedly found
cannabis during an anti-drugs talk at a Devon school.

The dog, called Bonnie, was taken to Ilfracombe Community College as
part of its drug education programme.

One boy was charged and is to appear in court on Thursday in connection
with the discovery.

Two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old were reprimanded, the BBC reports.

The drugs were found after lockers were searched when the two-year-old
dog became excited.

Headteacher David Humphries said: "The college does not have a major
drugs problem, but neither are we so naive as to think the college is
immune from the drugs culture present in British society.

"One student has returned to college and we expect the others to return
shortly when they have completed their exclusion."

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said it was not what anyone
had expected.
