Canada: Man Smokes Medical Marijuana in Detention

OTTAWA -- Retired lawyer Rick Reimer believes he puffed his way to a pot-smoking landmark this weekend when jail guards allowed him to legally smoke marijuana in detention.

Mr. Reimer was arrested at a G20 protest Saturday morning and spent about 17 hours in a courthouse cell. He was allowed to keep four joints after he showed police a letter that gives him an exemption from drug laws.
