---

Hindus have been smoking free marijuana as part of a holy day in Nepal.

Holy men, known as Sadhus, have been visiting the Pashupati temple in
Katmandu.

Marijuana is served free in the temple as part of the Mahashivaratri
festival celebrations.

Other worshippers have also been welcomed at the temple. March 12 is a
national holiday in Nepal.

There are rows of Shiva shrines in the area and Hindu pilgrims from all
over South Asia make the journey there.
