UK: Crime figures support Paddick

Crime figures for the London borough of Lambeth have supported calls for a
more lenient attitude towards cannabis possession, as street crime has
fallen by 35 per cent, while arrests for hard drugs have increased by 65
per cent.

The figures are an endorsement of the policies of Commander Brian Paddick,
recently moved from his post as chief of Lambeth police following claims
that cannabis had been smoked in his house.
