UK: Cannabis cafe course
Daily Post
Wednesday 27 Mar 2002 A NORTH Wales businessman has attended a special Dutch workshop to teach him how to run a cannabis cafe. Jeff Ditchfield signed up to the five-day course as part of his plan to open Amsterdamstyle cafes in Rhyl and Anglesey. Speaking last night from the event called Cannabizness in Haarlem, near Amsterdam, he said: "I'm more determined than ever." He has helped to organise a workshop on how to weigh and sell cannabis at "coffee shops" with colleague Nol Van Schaik. Mr Ditchfield, of Henllan, near Denbigh, said: "I have known Nol for quite a bit of time. I had quite a big input in designing the course for him. "We learned how to do everything from work an expresso machine to weigh out cannabis for people." Potential cafe owners on the course must pass an exam to gain a certificate and " qualify" to run a coffee shop.
