UK: Tory's Merry Hash-mas

Any MegaStar readers who've accepted a free lolly from Father
Christmas in Basildon town centre, or outside West Ham's ground, may
have experienced side-effects not normally associated with those gooey
sweets.

Aside from the usual queasiness and toothache, they may have suffered
euphoria, amusement, paranoia, mellowness and any number of other
side-effects.

Lovely stuff.

That's because Santa was in fact Conservative councillor Christopher
Jackson, and the lollies contained cannabis oil.

Mr Jackson says his generous gesture was a challenge to his party to
clarify its drugs policy.

But surely whether they approve of cannabis or not, no self-respecting
free-market Tory could ever condone giving it away free of charge.
