According to D.C. police, officers from the 1st Police District raided an apartment in the James Creek public housing complex in the 1500 block of First Street SW yesterday. The officers found 12 pounds of marijuana, police said. Jason Johnson, 37, of the 1300 block of First Street SW, and Dana Roach, 39, of no fixed address, were arrested. Both are to be arraigned on charges of felony possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, police said. Under the new law, possession of more than a half-pound of marijuana is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison. - --- MAP posted-by: GD
