Maitem and Reuben Aldaya, Correspondents MARIJUANA PLANTATION IN MAGUINDANAO BURNED CAMP SIONGCO, AWANG, Maguindanao - Soldiers yesterday burned about P30- million worth of marijuana plants found near a rebel satellite camp in Carmen, North Cotabato. The six-hectare plantation in Bgy. Tanganon was being guarded by suspected Moro Islamic Liberation Front rebels and Pentagon kidnapping gang members, said Maj. Julieto Ando, spokesman of the Army's 6th Infantry Division. The raid was preceded by another in neighboring Bgy. Tupig. About P5-million worth of marijuana was seized from the farm. In Tacloban City, 10 drug peddlers - including a nephew of city traffic chief Danile Eclipse - were arrested in a raid in a barangay notorious for drug trafficking. The city anti-narcotics unit confiscated from the group a total of 22.7 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P44,100 and drug paraphernalia.
