UK: Training firm works on cannabis project
Business Weekly
Tuesday 17 Feb 2004 Local firm Information Transfer has been chosen by Bayer HealthCare to develop and produce training materials for its new cannabis medicine. Sativex is currently being reviewed by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency for use in the treatment of symptoms of multiple sclerosis and neuropathic pain. The training materials will form a blended learning solution incorporating printed booklets, 'e-guides' and group training sessions, for use by Bayer's hospital representatives and marketing personnel. Information Transfer specialises in the development of bespoke training and communication materials, using a blend of web-based technology and traditional media. It is currently working with Chiron Vaccines, GlaxoSmithKline and the NHS Information Authority in the healthcare sector, and with KPMG, Ernst & Young, Shell and Nestle. Information Transfer is also involved with the University of Cambridge on the i10 project and is working with the East of England Multimedia Alliance and the East of England Development Agency on a range of web-based training and knowledge management projects.
