CZ: Schoolboys grew marijuana in gardening lessons
Ananova
Monday 22 Mar 2004 Three Czech schoolboys have been arrested after using their horticulture classes to grow marijuana under the noses of teachers. Teachers at the school in Rymarov, in the north-east Czech Republic, said they thought the boys had been growing tomato plants. They had encouraged them in their new found enthusiasm for horticulture lessons - until they caught them smoking the leaves. Local police spokeswoman Lucie Krastenicova told Czech daily Pravo the three 14-year-old boys had been growing the marijuana "for their own use". She said they faced disciplinary action by the school, but would not face criminal charges.
